It’s 2016, and we love anything that makes life easier, quicker and more efficient. That’s why we use Docusign for our licence documents, rather than using the ‘old fashioned’ methods, involving scanners and hardcopies and far too much time and effort!

We know that parents and Casting Directors, are busy and the easier we can make the process, the better! Docusign is a super simple system (you can even get the app for your phone for signing on the go!), where you can save a digital signature and fill in the information of a Part 2 (of the licence documentation) with just a few clicks of a button.

As easy and wonderful as this system is, there are a few things that are important to note. A licence is required by the council and so it is important that everything is filled out correctly. It is very important that there is an answer in every box, otherwise this will not be accepted by the LEAs. Of course, there are always going to be a few (or in some instances, a whole bunch) questions that are not applicable for your child, for which it’s okay to put ‘N/A’.

There is one exception to this rule! It is a real bugbear of some of the LEAs when parents fill out ‘N/A’ on the medical declaration. For this section, if your child doesn’t suffer with the ailment or illness described, it’s fine to just put ‘No’, rather than ‘N/A’, this will stop the forms being sent back to us with requests to re-do them.

Performance licences are required to keep the children safe and so it makes sense that the authorities in charge of this process have very strict guidelines on how things need to be done. All we can do is our best to ensure everything is filled out correctly and Docusign helps make that process a thousand times easier both for parents and clients-!
